Tapping Density or Apparent Volume Testing

The PT-TD1 is a testing instrument for Tapping or Bulk Density testing of Powders and Granules in compliance with the monographs of the USP <616, Method 2>, EP <2.9.15> pharmacopoeia and DIN 53194. The instrument is used to determine additional physical product characteristics with others like particle size, size distribution, cone angle, flowability, shape etc. Together with information describing the behavioural characteristics such as flow properties, density etc. the results are used to improve the design quality during development as well as the conformity of product in quality assurance and in-process control.

The PT-TD200 is a single station Tapping Density Tester, too but allows to test in compliance with the monographs of the USP <616, Method 1 and 2) and the EP <2.9.15>.  The PT-TD2 automatically detects in which position the cylinder dish is placed and adjusts automatically speed and tapping height. It also includes a RS232 Printer Port and a filing system to enter test and product information. User access control can be activated any time
