Three Drum Automated Friability Testing

The PTF3DR is a triple drum (PTF1DR = 1 drum) automated friability testing instrument made in full compliance to the monographs of the USP <1216> and EP <2.9.7> Pharmacopoeias. They offer an online connection COM port for an Analytical Balance for Weight control before and after a test run. The standard printer port may be used to connect a suitable PCL or DOT Matrix Printer to receive a full test report. The PTFDR is capable of operation over the range of 20 to 60 rpm. Either a number of revolutions or a rotating time may be programmed. At the end of a run the samples are automatically discharged into a stainl. steel sample collector for easy dedusting and re-weighing. An alpha numeric keypad allows user entry of product specific information. There is also a LCD screen to display test results as well as data entries. The PTFDR offers a choice of either a single test or a series of tests from which statistical information is derived. The balance COM port is available for a Sartorius or Mettler balance and a printer port to connect a DOT Matrix or PCL type Desk- or LaserJet printer, the RS232 port may be used to transmit data or control the PTF DR from outside.
