The PTF 3DR is a three drum (PTF 1DR = 1 drum) automated friability testing instrument made in full compliance to all valid Pharmacopoeias. It offers online connection port for an Analytical Balance for weight control before and after a test run. The standard printer port may be used to connect a suitable PCL or DOT Matrix Printer to receive a full test report. The PTF DR is capable of operation over the range of 25 to 70 rpm. Either a number of revolutions or a rotating time may be programmed. At the end of a run the samples are automatically discharged into a stainl. steel sample collector for easy dedusting and re-weighing. An alpha numeric keypad allows user entry of product specific information. There is also a LCD screen to display test results as well as data entries. The PTF DR offers a choice of either a single test or a series of tests from which statistical information is derived. The balance interface is available for a Sartorius or Mettler balance and a printer port to connect a DOT Matrix or PCL type Desk- or LaserJet printer, the RS232 port may be used to transmit data or control the PTF DR from outside.
